Really I’m speechless, The jutter in my front brake seems to vanish ?? Me & a mate off my swapped xb’s today fore a test ride ( for me first time on an xb12 ) And his first time on a bike with racetrack suspension set-up, I tell you, we both wend wow at the end, Me for the power ( the front wheel is shimmying @ WOT in the 5 gear doing 70 miles/h !!!) He for the suspension set-up ( line stability, and cornering ) But back to the brake; I asked him did you noticed any thing on the brakes ?? He said no. I asked him twice, then he said , just a little jutter on the front brake I noticed the same, even the ware marks are vanishing!! Could this be a temperature related problem ?? it is finally getting a bit hot over here, and with such a big rotor there should be a lot off shrinking an expanding due to temperature changes. Just wondering. Gr,m

I had my front rim checked due to front brake pulsation. The rim was within HD "spec", but was very close to being out of "spec", so they won't replace it. I called customer service with no luck. A $9500.00 bike owned for 7 months should not have a pulsation IMO. Any ideas as to whom could resolve this? Or do I just have to ride it? |

Tedk I have the same problem (saw your post over on Americanthunderbike)... I 've talked to a couple people at the parts counter at my dealership (Southside HD/Buell) that own XBs and they describe the same problem (vibration/pusation upon light braking)... However they said it's somewhat normal and they're "used to it"... I'm not so sure I can get used to it... To their credit I have not taken the issue to the service dept.... yet.... I'm getting a somewhat light vibration w/light front brake application.. when moderate to heavy breaking there is no problem..... I'm sensitive to the problem now and will monitor it closely..... kk//kef |

XB9, Thinking this is more of the 'old' vs. 'new' rotor mounting assemblies? On a side note, though the original one never did, my front brake assembly now makes the infamous clicking noise. However, since it doesn't pulsate, I'm not complaining. LOL...it actually sounds kind of cool... Bryan |

...Thinking this is more of the 'old' vs. 'new' rotor mounting assemblies?..... .... Yep, early builds ....though the original one never did, my front brake assembly now makes the infamous clicking noise..... ..... That was my observation too, original vs replacement. It took quite a few thousand miles, but the clicking finally went away recently. Mine is #640 |

Mine is actually #2000-something, but I haven't a clue when the 'cut-off' for the original vs the updated rotor assembly was. |

Mine is #1648. I had the clicking with the front brake for about the first 200 miles, then it stopped clicking. I have not had any vibration/pulsing at all. |

Mine is #16xx and my bike chatter's the front wheel when the brake is applied. It doesn't make a chatter sound, it just describes how the front wheel feels when I apply the brakes. I have not noticed any irregular wear on the tire, disc, caliper, or pads (I'm on my second set). I first noticed this in July. Wouldn't you know it... my warranty ran out last week of June. I wonder if updated disc mounting hardware would fix it? Maybe Buell will offer an "update" kit. Jody S. |

It seems my front brake pulsation is a warped rotor and the high speed wobble is a bad front isolater. Reminds me of my old M2. Covered under warranty, but still not good... |
