http://www.roadracingworld.com/news/article/?article=24159 "An innovative new under-engine exhaust is the “piece de resistance.” The all-new component was designed for optimum mass centralization, maximum performance and impressive cornering clearance. The exhaust header is routed under the engine to a collector and then to the all-new under-engine muffler, equipped with the proven Suzuki Exhaust Throttle valve system, which terminates in an aggressive and stylish end cap near the front of the rear wheel. The result is a functional, race-inspired look without a visible exhaust canister." Gee where did these guys get this idea? Good grief these rice burner companies are like microsoft. They tickle out a little something each year to make keep people come back. This is another reason Buell is squared away in my book. If it works and is a good idea Buell does it so we can enjoy it now not 15 different models/years later to get performance. Too bad buell couldnt patent this whole thing and keep it only on our bikes.

One of the many reasons that I chose Buell....unique, effective, innovative technology. And I won't blend in the ricers, nor be one of those HD riders that expects to be hip just because he plunks a bunch of bucks down on a hog. Perfect bike for me. |

I wonder if the new Suzi owners will be as quick to disable the muffler valve as some Buellers have been. |

I take it they made no reference about how Buell's been doing this for how long now? |

Why would they reference Buell? It's an article about Suzuki and how they're doing a their bike, not where they got an idea. Before someone tells me to lay of the Kool Aid... Yes I know Erik didn't invent the under engine exhaust, or the perimeter brake, or the fuel in frame...or the motorcycle... It was Erik however that discovered how to do this well and manufacture it. |
