I just bought this 03 XB9R with the 1200 kit and lots of mods to boot. Even though its a great bike I have these minor electrical problems on it. The left turn signal works but the when I turn on the rights I hear this buzzing sound and the lights dont to anything. I checked the bulb and it looks ok. |

Sounds like the relay, it's under one of the fuse boxes on either side of the front fairing..I don't have a R so I don't know where for sure the relay is on yours...Somebody will chime in with an R and tell ya...Somebody is also bound to tell you to pick up a manual ASAP, which is the best advice you can get... Are the signals stock? Larry |

Relays are to the left of the dash under a black plastic cover about 2"x3". Readily accessable, not under the fairing or anything. |

Mine did that too. The relay was fine, so i hunted around and found that one of the grounds wasn't connected, and wasn't completing the circuit. Check where the wires plug together, near the tail bulbs under the seat. |
