Found out that Tampa HD/Buell is the dyno tuning center for the 3 dealerships they're affiliated with. So, naturally when I dropped my bike off for the 1K service I had them run it. DynoJet Conditions: 89F / 30.22in-Hg /17% Humidity Mods: KN, drilled upper airbox, Spec. OPS pipe, Spec. OPS airbox heat barrier, Stock ecm Results: 89.34 rwhp 79.05 rwtq Pretty happy with the results for only having $285 into perf. mods. It runs a bit on the lean side, but I haven't detected any detonation or pinging of any kind. Just an FYI. TK |

Not bad. Dyno'd my 10,000 mile 2003 XB9R with Buell race kit(Race Muffler, Race ECM, K&N airfilter). Temp was 95F not sure about humidity but it was hot muggy summer day. 74rwhp/73rwtq runs a little lean also. I'd like to open up my airbox but i think that will make it run leaner. It would run leaner which is why I only drilled mine. I'm pretty sure I could just cover up a few holes to richen it back up a tad. We'll see, running great so far, but the cool air is just around the corner. TK |

finally! i dyno with the special o.p.s. pipe! any chance we could get a pic of the dyno sheet? just makes me want my o.p.s. pipe even more now! i do have a question about the heat barrier. it blocks the hot air from the engine and keeps it from getting to the air filter and back into the engine, but could this actually make the engine run hotter? maybe i'm not looking deep enough into it, but if the heat from the engine has less space to escape, then wouldn't the engine actually run hotter? i understand that once your moving it would help cool down the motor, but if your sitting in traffic is the engine temp. going to be higher? thanks (oh, tommy. i noticed that you got rid of the rear pegs. any chance you want to sell'em to me?!) Gotmine- here's a run on Stone Mountain HD/B's Superflow dyno. Goes to show you what different dyno's can do for your numbers (Superflows' are very conservative). This was my bike in Dec '04. It's the curves that look very good on this run. Tom's numbers look very good! |

Lucas wrote "firewhirl, sure its not 74 and 63. RWTQ seems kinda high" Dyno sheet says 73rwtq... it's kinda odd right? Also like i said both tq and hp lines start at the bottom and work their way up. So the tq line looks just like the hp line. |

Nice looking curve Steve. What ECM and air filter was used? |

Here's a look at Tommy_K's dyno run. It's as big as I could get it and still be legible. |
