Sorry this isn't xb specific (but it is to use ON my xbr... so does that count? I'm looking at getting a "buell" vanson jacket, but can't find anywhere that has them in stock around me. I can only find sized jackets 44, 46... etc and no medium, large, etc. My question is, I'm 44 reg. 195 lbs, 5'11" male. Would a medium buell jacket fit me? I had a large buell jacket many moons ago but I was also about 12-15 lbs heavier. I'm mainly worried about the sleeve length. I have a old style vanson jacket in a 46 but it's WAY too big in the gut (which makes me think that a medium might fit). Thanks for any hep you can give! |

I am 5'10, 190 lbs(god I'm getting fat) Both my Vanson jackets are mediums They are snug, the way I like them. No room for a sweatshirt underneath. Keep in mind I can save you 10% on it! |

I'm 5'10 187 lbs(ha ha Dave)and I have a large Buell Vanson. It's neither snug nor loose. I can fit a sweater under mine or probably a Vanson streamliner vest if they weren't so darned expensive. |

I'm 5'10", 190 lbs and my Vanson is a medium. Fits fine but no room for bulky sweatshirts, I wear Buell polypro and other "thin" shirts under it in the cool weather and in the warm weather it has the perforated panels with zip open panels to provide cool air. Hey Dave it must be the Kool-aid- I have the extra "ballast" thing too! |

I went to my HD dealer and filled out a Vanson sizing chart and they will custom make you one. Well worth the effort, the thing fits like a glove.} |

Yes I was measured as well for mine at the local hd/Buell dealer as well. I have the Buell jacket that has Buell across the back, with the Pegasus and is blue, white, black and glows in the dark-very cool! |

Just a thought here. You might want to buy the Vanson jacket that can zip to Vanson pants case you want to do some track days. I'm not sure the Buell jacket has that, although I think you can have Vanson modify one. I have both jacket and pants (vented) and they are very high quality and heavy grade leather (they weigh a freaking ton). I'm very happy with the product. I'm 5'10 and about 175-180 lbs and wear a size 42 jacket and 34 pant right off the rack. It did take a long break-in to get the pants comfortable with a knee out... |

Also, at least in my area Ducati dealers stock Vanson (of course not with the Buell logo though). I believe you can also buy direct from them-check out their website. |

I'm 6' and 175 but I had to get a large Vanson because I apparently have more of a simian arm length proportion than a sapien one. |

It does, but not full circumference.

Buell branded items are only available through a Buell dealer. |

99buellx1 thanks for the link. Tempting... but I can't take black leather anymore. After baking one last time this summer, I have decided to get something that doesn't "easy bake" me. Nice jacket though. |

After baking one last time this summer, I have decided to get something that doesn't "easy bake" me. } I just took my Lightning out for a ride with a friend who just bought a new bike. It is 39 degrees here in Seattle. I have worn the Vanson jacket in 110 degree (with the vents open, and exceeding the posted speed limit-just a LITTLE bit) and now I have worn it cold. I have to say it is one of the most versatile jackets I have. Having said that, I am 5'8" and weigh 195. I wear the large Vanson. The waistband is adjustable, so if I am only wearing a tshirt I can cinch it up, or like today I wore a sweat shirt and it was fine! |

I agree on the black leather. Even on dirt bikes, the clothing is too dark including the vented stuff. Wish there was more selection in white or light colors. It makes a big difference on a hot day... |
