Citified - how do you plan on removing the powder-coated paint on the frame? I would like to do the same, but i'm unsure on how to remove the powder-coat. Thanks. | ||

I was going to see if aircraft stripper would work on powdercoat. If not then lots of sanding my brother has a body shop, lots of tools at my disposal. | ||

If aircraft stripper wont work I doubt anything will thats some BADASS stuff. Just remember to wear THICK gloves even a drop of that stuff on the hand can cause a BAD burn. | ||

i have definetly went for the polished look. i like how its coming so far. no plans for the frame/swingarm yet though. i really like the coated header i got from asb. looks damn good. | ||

Here is one that I had in my photo folder. Everyone has there own opinion but I am done with the bling stuff- But thats just me, I still love the look but I rather ride instead of clean now. Cause I am still picky how my bike looks. I recomend going chrome instead of polishing much easier to clean  | ||

Aircraft stripper works fine to remove the finish on the frame and swingarm. It is messy though. The frame is a fairly smooth surface after you remove the paint. It is a pretty easy polish job. The swingarm is a real pain. It is a rough surface and take some serious sanding before polishing. Have fun.  | ||

I've heard that sanding the welds on the frame may have negative implications on the warranty. Something about integrity. | ||

What is it with you guys (in the US) and chrome.......and while I'm at it what's the deal with noise as well.......? We're into subtlety and sophistication here in Europe............ Just kidding my ears bleed since I took the baffles out my muffler but it's worth it!! | ||

I didn't say anything about removing welds. I said that sanding them may void your warranty because it decreases the integrity of the welds. |
