Somebody else riding a Buell. In Jackson Mississippi. I am not making this up.
Yes, I know it probably sounds like a non-event to you but for the longest time I've felt like the Lone Ranger minus a Tonto.
Anyway, I'm suiting up outside the pub this evening when I hear this sound that's strange yet oddly compelling. I turn to look and I'll be damned if someone doesn't ride by on a black XB9S.
To say I got a tiny bit misty eyed at the sight would be an understatement. If I'm lying, I'm dying. For a minute there, I thought was gonna BUST! It was PRIDE if nothing else. Keep in mind that I've never even HEARD an XB9 or 12 from a distance. Not even mine.
This leads me to an epiphany of sorts; Remember those posts where I said "Stealth Is King"? Sod 'em. Bugger them bloody. I've only just now discovered that my bike sounds EXACTLY like a Singer 144W industrial sewing machine at full chat. I should know, there are three of the bastard things in my tarp shop. As soon as possible, I am ordering a performance muffler of some sort. Feel free to fill my head with bright ideas, please.
Cheers to the new Buell owner!

Bob

Go to the DRUMMER site on the sponsors page. Call Kevin and see if his customer service doesn't find you fitting a DRUMMER ASAP. That's it no BS. NUTS

Ned,I know how you feel.I bought my xb9s this past Feb. I live in Greensboro, NC and have seen only one other xb9s sporting around town. He must live near my workplace. Both times that I saw him, I was in my pickup. The yellow bike is real easy to spot.If I had happened to be on my bike, I could have turned around and caught up with him.As far as the sound of the stock muffler, it is pretty wimpy.I have heard my bike being ridden from another rider only one time,by U4euh.I am going to wait and see how the Drummer S/S pans out before I make any choice for a pipe purchase.Mike S

Twig, we need to get together and ride. My 9R now has the Special Ops pipe. It really sounds great, but it is loud.
