Boehm is still a Buell hating dink! Three months have gone by now and there hasn't been a single word of comment on the Ulysses, on line or in print, not even a new bike announcement in Tear Offs. Everyone one on the planet and their dog has chimed in with their opinion on the bike, yet to Boehm and Co. it apparently doesn't exist! Sorry, but that's bullshit, pure and simple. |

Good stuff. Looks like some others are starting to see the light! |

Uhh....okay. Perhaps we should give him at least one point back for this article, huh? |

It think Mitch and the boys are a bit put off by the Cycle World Ulysses scoop. (Message edited by brotherbuell on September 26, 2005) |

Neat... He finally set the suspension up correctly. What a maroon. Maybe he ought to let his readers and the Buell community know that he'll take his foot medium well. "It think Mitch and the boys are a bit put off by the Cycle World Ulysses scoop." Maybe so, but maybe Buell was a bit put off by Mitch and the boys wadding up a firebolt in a test session (on the street) because they had 3-5 people testing it and almost certainly didn't set the suspension up for ANY of them, let alone one of them. Then they wrote that it was the bikes fault as I recall. It may have been a different rag, but I think it was motor cyclist. |

Pretty good article - no excuses, no flaming. As for timeliness of the Uly review - I don't think they were first to get a Uly for testing so give them a bit of time. I think the Uly review is coming in the next issue. Henrik |

It was a good article in a "I was surprised the Buell didn't suck" kinda way. (Message edited by buellerx on September 26, 2005) |

"Now we're talking about doing a Firebolt project bike for the street with more engine tweaks and proper chassis setup." I would like to see this statement happen. |

I mean, I'd only done one lap of the new circuit, and he wanted me to dive into Turn One surrounded by 30 or 40 club-racing crazies on a motorcycle I'd never even swung a leg over. He'd never even ridden a Firebolt before! Perhaps Boehm has seen the light? We'll see. |

Who cares if he likes it or not. A good product will always find its way into the masses.

Hate to bust the old bubble here, but this article was out in the begining of the year after daytona. Before the new bikes were released. I still don't really care for motorcyclist but it does give me my motorcycle fix until better rags show up in the mail. |

Honestly, that would have been a good article if it weren't for the two paragraphs of "excuses" for ignoring that the Buell was a good bike in the first place. Motorcyclist and Sport Rider still suck. |

It is strange that a UK magazine can rate the bike #1 in cornering but a lot of US rags can't give it any credit unless they are some what forced to ride the bike. I'm sure if they evaluated the stock bike with the correct suspension setting and non stock tires it would be a lot different then going to a press day with the bike where multiple people are riding with stock suspension settings. I noticed a big difference on my XB9R when I changed tires and adjusted the suspension. |

I believe motor cyclist was given a bike to do as they wish with. |

They do give off anti-Buell tones, but I still read 'em both. Mostly Sportrider. I'm still free to believe whatever I want (although I might read something evil in the meantime) |

This is the best part! Honesty, and the credibility it brings, really is the best policy, regardless of advertising or political consequences. Hi my name is Mitch and I talk out of both corners of my mouth.

I stopped buying it, and even looking at it at the store. Online? No way. Don't want to increase their hit count. Seems to me the Buells just aren't up to carrying around the massive egos of the Motorcyclist staff. Bill |

I actually had a subscription to Sport Rider until they tested the 12R and said it had a peaky powerband and had to be revved high at all times. I read motorcycle rags in an effort to gain information. What good is it if I have to run a magazine through my BS filter? |

the 12R has a peaky powerband?...that's too funny |
