Driving my new XB12Ss home, I got a red check engine light at 40 miles. I had already read this thread: Http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/32777/145711.html I didn't sweat it. The light comes on sometimes and and sometimes not when starting the bike. It had no effect on performance. I called Liberty HD and advised them of the problem. I took the bike to Bike week in Ocean City, MD last week and rode the out of it with the light on most of the time with no problems at all. I got home last night and rode the bike into my shop this morning. I read another thread on how to get error codes quick and dirty. Sure enough code 21, interactive muffler control fault. Had I not read the above thread that light would have stressed me out and ruined my whole week. You just gotta love the Badweb. Now this will be a test for the dealer. So far Liberty has been better than great. I can change that servo out in less than 10 minutes, maybe 5. I ought to be able to arrange a time for replacement, drive the bike there & wait while they replace it. I'd actually rather they hand me the servo & let me do it, but I know there are rules... |

Sweet. That's as good testament to Badweb as I've ever heard. BadWeb has become my #1 source for Edutainment. Some of the things I've learned here arn't even Buell related. Though 99% certainly has been. |
