You know there have been many topics in the past with bad things to say about the '03 belts I wanted to see if there are people out there that the belts are not snapping on. I have 20,000 miles on my '03 XB9S and multiple tire swaps and the belt is still going strong. Anyone else that has gone past the "recommended change interval". |

The one before the one I have one now went somewhere around 25 to 27 thousand miles before it gave up. |

Glitch, How did it give up? Did it snap or just wear out? |

Did you put the upgraded '03 belt on after that or change to the '04 belt and pulley system. |

Replaced the original at 17k. It's still in good shape and hanging on my wall as a spare. |

It broke, looked as though it stretched a little before it gave up, still a straight break though. My first two belts were the old style, they hadn't upgraded anything when those broke, my third belt was (as is my fourth) the upgraded '03 belt. Shred had 27 thousand miles on his '03 XB9R, he broke the bike, so the belt was never an issue for him. |
