Will the Scorpion tire provide the type of cornering ability necessary to be used on the Firebolt? The Dunlops only last me a goo 3000 miles before they get a puncture or simply wear out. Would this tyre do the trick?

I ran the Gap with them and never felt like they weren't gripping well. Heck, scrapped a peg with them.

The Sync's are original equipment for the Duc Multistrada(voted Mororcyclist's dual-sport BOY '05 over the BMWGS...)...the beauty of a trellis frame is truly appreciated on a tight curvy road and equally enhanced with a tire(tyre) that grips as well as the Sync...

No first hand experience with the Sync's or Mulitstrada but consider that it's rare for the Multi' riders to switch to another tire, they really like the Sync's.

Does the XBcityX come stock with Sync's? what's on the Uly?

Unless you're racing, I'd be inclined to think the Sync's would be a good choice...

I put them on my 96 S1 and they were hands down better than the 205's and 207's. They are also cheaper.

CityX has Sync's
Uly has Dunlops made just for it.

What pressure? I just put some Scorps on my R, and the bike feels a little squirelly. I'm sure some of it is the mold-release, but the tires do seem to have stiffer carcasses than the D207's. So what pressure are y'all running (on the road)?

Thanks, that's what I'm at. Guess it's just the different profile. They definitely want to fall into turns more than the roundy 207s. I'll heat 'em up tomorrow.

With the Scorpions and the Suspension set using the aggressive riding settings, the bike is amazing. Turns like nothing I have ever ridden before. I have to be careful. I have gone around turns and put way to much into leaning the bike and almost dropped it. I was use to the old tires and suspension settings that required a little more input to turn. Now it requires very little.

Ditto that.
I just put a set on my 12Scg this last saturday & what a night & day difference over the stock 208s. I usually don't apply the brakes in a corner but just to see what would happen I did. The bike did not try to stand up. I applied more pressure. The bike still did not try to stand up. I went from 70mph down to about 25mph in the blink of an eye while leaned in a corner & the bike held her line true. It is so very nice to know that if I should ever come across something in the middle of my lane mid corner I can slow down without causing myself more harm. I am greatly impressed with these tires. The bike no longer requires any effort to turn in anymore as well.

Yep. When I switched to Scorps, I ran off on the inside of corners for a while. I can't touch their potential. No problems in the rain, either.

Good luck,
Bill

Looks like it some good rubber.I wonder how it would hold up far as wear doing a trackday? They look like they may get eat up on track.Any other would be tires better then dunlop 208 for on street and a day at the trackday?

Max, I've done a track day with a fresh set(1K on 'em) of Scorps on my S3T. They handle it just fine. I've since put another 3000 on 'em. Still have 1/2 the tread left. At 4K my D207s were 80% gone.
