Is there any way to tighten the stock mirror on the post? I now have about a 1/2 inch of rotational freeplay when I adjust my left mirror... Very irritating when you have to plan for airflow to push the mirror to a "correct" position...

Also, anyone know what the deal is with the stubby piece at the bar end of the mirror mount? I haven't taken them apart to really look yet, but is that an adapter, or is it used to lift the mirrors higher off the bar, or...?
Thanks!
-Mike

The bottom of the mirror is threaded. Tighten that first, then tighten the nut that holds it in place. They should not move at all.
No adapters.

I may not have been clear... I'm talking about the actual mirror where it mounts to the TOP of the stalk. Are there threads at the top of the post, into the mirror?
