Alright is there any bright BLUE lights out there that i could put in my 9r? I put the blue headlights from iron machine in my bike but they werent blue and they have burned out. Any suggestions are welcomed and much appreciated. thanks in advance. | ||

Its kind of a tuff bind, I had the same problem with my truck, I could never find lights that were both bright and blue. I found a cheep pair that were really blue but the stunk for lighting up the road. I finaly decided that bright was more important and got the 90w "for off road use only" replacements i think they were from PIAA | ||

Got the piaa lights on mine. A little brighter but still want more light. The guys I ride with have an assortment of jap bike with far brighter headlights than me. Oh well. | ||

I use Sylvania Silverstar bulbs. From the Sylvania web site: The H3 SilverStar® High Performance Halogen headlight(maximum 68W). Unparalleled Illumination. Street Legal Performance. SilverStar illuminates with a searing intensity, exceeded only by far more expensive High Intensity Discharge lighting. Drive the Whitest, Brightest Light.  The light is truly brighter and more intense but the bulb itself doesn't become any more hotter. | ||

Lpd22-- i think they were Apex or something like that, i got them from my local auto-zone, they were only like $20 for H4 style bulb and the human pin cushion at the counter assured me that they were really blue (that kid had ALOT of metal in his face, i do remember that) | ||

if the lights in question truly are BLUE, then they are inferior illuminators, and are for show use only.... that is to say BLUE headlights are not for use at night, their color temperature is wholly inadequate for illuminating wildlife, roadhazards, and are almost useless on wet roads. Piaa superwhite bulbs work pretty well, a bit expensive, and have a life span of around 150 hours. the best solution so far has been an HID conversion, with the lowest color temperature available. i think i got the 4500K. only suitable for the low beam, and needs to be wired so it is always ON. HID is not suitable for short cycle or intermittent duty. | ||
