Author Message   Elff Posted on Sunday, August 28, 2005 - 10:37 pm:        With all the hype on the Ulysses, I was surprised to pass by the motorcycle section and see that Rider magazine did an article on the new Lightning SS. It is a very positive article for Buell. I got a call from my HD dealer that a guy from Rider Mag was on his way to my neck of the woods in case I wanted to catch up with him. They knew I was interested in the Ulysses. I tried to find him, but could not connect. It't almost unfortunate in a way, because it's a REALLY nice bike. The new tranny rocks. The clutch pull is better than I imagined. The seat was more comfortable than a Road King. I love the way it rides. Very easy to handle and stable. My '03 Firebolt feels like a 1910 Harley by comparison. It had just enough extra room to make it comfortable, along with the improved seat, and it looked like it had just enough room on back for soft bags and a pack, all I needed. I'd like to see a few more Buells on the road but I don't want to see them everywhere - like Harley's and crotch rockets. It's pretty cool to be riding a secret weapon.
