Does anyone have an opinion (now that's funny) about the Superbike conversion kit on the XB12R? I went for a 300 mile ride this weekend and felt like I could sit back even farther than the Heli bars conversion that I am using now. I'm looking to get a little more comfort on the long rides and that kit looks good, but I wonder if it will move my hand position far enough back to make a difference. The Heli bars are great, just not enough. |

I have never used the LSL conversion kit but I have used many types of riser kits. Heli bars are well made but they are restricted by using all the stock lines. The superbike kits swap out the stock brake, clutch and throttle cables for longer ones which allows the riding position to much more upright. I bought Convertibars for my SV and really liked the results. The key is swapping out all the lines. Heli bars "take the edge off"...other kits "fix the problem." |
