Hi All, Went to the dealer today to pick up a few things for my Harleys. While I was there, they rolled a '06 12Ss out of the crate. Couple things I noticed that you can's see in the picts. 1: The headers appear to be plated/coated or bead blasted instead of the brushed finish we are used to. Can anyone confirm if they are plated? 2: The new rear fender/belt guard is not as bad looking in person as on the site. 3: The idler wheel is anodized black. 4: The new open airbox looks really good in person. 5: The longer WB and tail section make the bike look different, looks much more 2 up friendly. Didn't get to sit on it as it was going for prep but I'll head back there either tomorrow or Sat. Tom |

In RE: 1: Not sure which thread it was, but I think Anonymous has posted that the headers are bead blasted stainless... Update: Found it! Not stainless (or did I pick that up someplace else?), and media blasted instead of brushed: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/cgibin/discus/show.cgi?tpc=32777&post=492599#POST492599 (Message edited by davefla on August 11, 2005) |
