Author Message   Tpoppa Posted on Friday, August 05, 2005 - 10:43 am:        It's time to replace the drivebelt on my 03 XB9S. I just received the most current belt from DaveS. Do these belts need to be mounted in a certain direction--like a tire? I do not see any direction indicator, so I am guessing it can spin either way.   Gentleman_jon Posted on Friday, August 05, 2005 - 12:14 pm:        You are correct. The belts are not directional. It is a good idea to follow the shop manual procedure pretty closely so as not to damage the belt or swing arm, and the installation technique is pretty much unique to Buell.
