So I buy a sears motorcycle jack today,(Which by the way I really like, gets bike nice and high, and with the straps on the pegs seems to very stable) commence to lifting bike and low and behold find a hole right in the middle of my belt. So I'm wondering, will the new belts from the 06's fit my 04 xb12r. Dave? |

from what I've read they won't, I think they're a tad longer since the axle to axle length is almost 2" longer. But then again, I'm not buell tech, just a shade tree bike mechanic |

That makes since, I forgot they where longer. So does that mean all other bikes have the same belt as mine? How much do belts cost anyway? |

The 06 belt for the XBR & XBS & XBSX will fit the 04 & 05 bikes. The lightning XBSs & the Ulysses have a longer belt to fit the longer wheelbase. There was a discussion about this on another thread and an anonny confirmed that there were two belt sizes. (Message edited by metalstorm on July 31, 2005) |

OooOOoops, Forgot they were still making the XB12s/r and 9s/r's *grin* (was thinking the ULY obvisously), in that case.. surely it'd fit as metalstorm and unibear12r said. BTW, I guess I'll be going to buy one, if they're made of the new goodyear compound/design thats said to be all but bulletproof. |

Yes they have a new belt to fit your bike. I have them in stock. I will be at work in about 6 hours. I've got a 300 mile ride to do first! |

FYI, I just R&R my belt after riding over 6,000 miles w/ two holes in it. Only replaced it because I had just picked up a third that still had a rather large rock inside the hole. They're way tougher than you think, especially if you run it looser than spec. (Thanks for that bit of advice Tramp). Rob |

Daves: 6 hours, 300 miles, that's only 50 miles per hour. Everyone says these Buells are slow but come on man! |

I was on my Mille R Got 3 gas stops to make, that thing sucks the gas more than the Buell but a lot less than the Expedition! My gas stops are like 20 minutes long, gotta have a smoke(or two) some Diet Pepsi, get rid of some used Diet Pepsi and call Kandie to let her know I am still ok. Made it this morning in about 5 hours |
