I was not prepared for the change in my bike. The sound and performance are unbelievable. I liked my cityx before and now I love it. Dont want to get off of it. The best is the bizarre looks people are giving me as I go by. Like an intrigued deer in the head lights look. Kevin, thanks for being a bad a$$ muffler modifier and all around nice guy. Nothin beats a Drummer. I highly recommend one. |

www.kdfab.com Aw crap, now I've got the answer to my number one question before buying the Uly. Is there an aftermarket exhaust that will make the bike sound better, perform better, and not kill the MPG?

We're looking into the Uly muffler. Maybe even a little extra protection underneath. |

These bikes should come out of the factory sounding this way. It sounds better than my pops Custom Softail. WOW! |

Just out of curiosity, Being a fairly new poster here (been browsing the sire for a few months) how much is the Drummer, and does anyone have any sound clips? Also, Kevin I guess I can address this to you, I noticed on your site, you have both left hand and right hand discharge outlet drummers, when we order them can we specify one or the other? Or do you only make left hand now? (Pics on the site show right or left just curious) |

Frausty12r There is a sound file on the www.kdfab.com site and click on Exhaust Systems and the file will load and play, if you have dial-up it will take a while...The Drummer is $400 with exchange of your stock pipe, you tell me which side you want the exit on before you get it... Blake, Great idea! Kevin www.kdfab.com |

It doesn't matter what you send, just specify which bike it will be going on... Kevin www.kdfab.com |

O.K., I've read the threads on the pipes and I've decided on the Buell Race Kit. Loaded the beast into the back of the truck tonight. Pip, ECM, K&N, TPS tomorrow morning. Doing this to keep everything under warranty (purchased xb12s 6/04). BTW is the 500 mi. break-in period for the bike or the rider? I'll let y'all know on the sound improvement (from the honda 350 stocker) tomorrow night. |

Kevin, Not that I don't want your Drummer just that is will have to wait!! I just bought a Supercharger for my Jeep and that is taking all my time & money right now. I already have the FAST kit coming & will get your pipe this winter. That way I won't notice the downtime. Then when I get ready to take it out of winter storage I'll just haul it over to the dealer and install my race ECM & have them do the reset for me. Or who knows by then I just might get the kit so I do it myself. |

Plsdks, I never bought an XB expecting it to break down so I never cared about warranty. I put a non-standard muffler on it and later on fitted a different fuel injection controller on it and told the dealer, it didn't stop me getting warranty on bearings and some other non-motor-related issue. Basically a dealer can maybe refuse any warranty at all because you fitted an LED tailight for example, but a good dealer (and even a half-bad dealer) won't do that. The XB motor is a strong and resilient beast, I see lots of people not doing what they really want to do with a bike because of "warranty". My bike runs out of "warranty" in about 2 months, I'm almost looking forward to total responsibility for maintaining my bike. Just raving on |

What Opto said. After I hit 20thousand, my stator went out. I had aftermarket stuff on, but none of it affected the charging system, so they covered it. |
