I'm thinking my '03 xb9s just lost some value after Wednesday. How much do you think HD/Buell will give for '03 xb9s trade-in? |

Not much... Trade in is almost always tough on the wallet... Your better off selling it outright... |

I don't think the 03-05 xbs lost much value as the new bikes are just modified xbs rather than an all new design. I plan on keeping my 03 9s for many years! |

If the new bikes have the sales success many predict, and Buell becomes a desirable and sought after brand, the price of good, used bikes could go up. M |

I'll tell you one thing. A buddy of mine has called every dealership in the Bay Area looking for an XB9R. NOTHING in stock!! Plenty of 12's. It's wild. Either they don't stock them, or they have been selling great! |

I totally want the 06 lightning long, but my 03 xb9r only has 7100 miles on it. I plan on keeping that baby for MANY years. Until I ride it into the ground. I love riding it and want to squeeze every dollar/mile out of my purchase. |

If I like the testride of an xb12x, I will trade in my '03 xb9r. I paid 10K, I expect to get 7K on a trade in. A new xb12x will be ~13k. I recently testrode at a cityx after seeing the many positive reactions and I could get 7.5 - 8K for my xb9r. A cityx is 12K. A lot of money for sure ... but I don't care. I don't consider trade in value when I buy a bike(like, you already plan on trading before you even bought it). Its simply an expense for luxury, having a hobby, owning a new motorcycle, more fun, better ride etc etc. Suck it up and enjoy! |
