Where are my friggin toys? all the models get new goodies, and what do I, a devout Bolt owner get, some bloody fancy oil gear that nobody will see...now I ask you, no I beg you where is my Firebolt in translucent plastics...to rub salts in the wounds you had to make the one bike I have been longing for...it really hurts deeply that I might have to designate the Bolt's place in the garage for a Ully..YOU BASTID !!

I predict next year will see some kewl new stuff for the Firebolts

They did receive some great techno upgrades. I am real curious on the new tranny and clutch. I would love to have the smooth shifting of a japanese bike on my Buell

I also believe that Next year is the Bolts Year. I'm saving my pennies for next years line-up. I appreciate the New models this year, but PLEASE do something with the 'R' !

NOOooo, leave the R the same! I just got it the way I like it, and want to bask in the black sunshine for a while before I have to start upgrading! Besides, the new swingarm and belt cover are hideous- I don't want it to spread!

I'd love, absolutely LOVE to see a short stoke 12R. A Firebolt with the displacement of the 12 & the short stroke & revs of the 9 would be awesome. I wouldn't even have to have more power than the current 12. Same power as the current 12 with the all around smoothness of the 9 would make me consider trading up.

At the very, very least, an XB1050R from the factory would be quite enticing.

Actually, on second thought, I don't want to see such a thing until I've finished paying off my 12Scg

I'm with you there man. I'd be interested in that long lightning since I'm a taller fella. Don't know how that new seating position/wheelbase configuration works yet.

Nadz, how can you tell that the new swingarm is ugly? The only photo I have seen of it is the poor scan on the original topic. Every single photo on the Buell website (of every bike) is of the right side. I would have to agree with you on the belt cover though. But you have to admit, the 02-05 version didn't really look all that different. I think i actually prefer the right side of the new swingarm to the right side of the old one.

Yea, I too noticed a distinct lack of port-side photos. What's with that?
Let me refine- I still prefer the skeletal appearance of the right-side swingarm. The new one seems edgy, while the rest of the bike is swoopy. I wonder if they'll drop-in a new, angular, fuel-frame next year...
I still say there's waaay too much plastic back there. Let us see the belt and wheel!
I'm tryin' to like it, really. Guess I'll shut up now and wait to see one in person...

Use the 360 viewer on the Colors tab.

I know it is there for a reason, but first thing I would do is remove the belt guards. Yes, including the hugger on the Ulysses. Then I'd install a slimmer aftermarket pipe and ditch the chin fairing. Blake likes his motorcycle naked. : )

Heck, if I didn't appreciate the utility of it so much, I'd remove the oil cooler too. Sure would be interesting to see some oil temperature testing for a bike with and without the oil cooler.
