Ok, I've been seeing pics of the new inner airbox that shows it's cut. Any chance of a pricing on this? That new one looks way better than mine on my City X and I'm really interested in getting one. |

Better yet, can just that little piece by the gas cap (the piece with the vent) be replaced? |

hmm, and to think i'm headed in the opposite direction when i was running a stock ECM, Special O.P.S., race filter and the snorkel removed i was a happy camper. lots of grunt... of course the next step was to swiss cheese the airbox and add the TFI. As soon as I drilled out the airbox my low - mid felt weaker. I've been fiddling/tuning with the TFI for quite a few weeks now and I still feel like i lost low-mid when i drilled out the airbox. i know people say it 'spins up much faster' but on a bike with a redline as low as 6500 - 7000RPM I don't want to spin right past the fun part of the motor! maybe its not the airbox mod but to find out i just received another inner airbox (thanks Dave!) to test out the stock version again. i think people were feeling something similar when they removed the snorkel then put it back in eventually (?) |

I am still running the stock filter, with only the airlid and airbox modifications. Third belt in 13,000 miles. What gives? That thing pulls like a freight train! |

Typeone, Did you try putting the snorkel back in first? I've heard the O.P.S. pipe works really well with stock ecm & race filter but the snorkel left in. I'm just wondering what keeping the snorkel and having the new inner/outer airbox might achieve. |

Metal, no i havent because everything was great when i removed the snorkel, threw a K&N on and the Special O.P.S. She was great until I drilled the airbox out and threw on that damn TFI. I'll prob run the stock inner box and TFI off to see whats up. That will bring me back to my orig setup except for the Pro plugs. I'm also wondering about the snorkel + new box design. Fun, fun. |
