It's worth considering, if the new, longer swing arm fits earlier models, wouldn't you want to take that in to account before buying the new belt? Option A) Buy new long life belt for existing swing arm Option B) Buy longer life belt that is designed for longer swing arm |

I have heard that the belt is the same pitch. It will work on the 04-05 pulleys. I personally would just get the belt because I happen to like the lines of the 03-05 swingarm & 04-05 belt guards more than the 06. I think the belt would be a wise investment considering it is less prone to damage from bending & twisting. And you can pack an extra one with you & not worry about it being weakened from bending. |

Don't the new bikes with the longer swingarm also have a less aggressive rake as well? Dunno if you'd want to do one w/o the other... Someone else lend their thoughts on that one... |

Hi, Tough to tell without taking some measurements. First we need to get one. Anyone want to loan us your '06 when you get it so we can take it apart and see if all the new parts fit the 03-05's? I didn't think so.... lol Tom (Message edited by tomd on July 25, 2005) |
