I have a question. Since the new 06 Buells have the air coming into the top of the box does this mean the bike will loose a few hp. Because my understanding is that the air coming into the box through the frame is ram air. Am I missing something? |

I don't think ram air is the right word for it. Besides ram air doesn't really do anything for performance until you hit the triple digits. I'm willing to bet that the new stock "cut" inner box and vented outer box do the same job as the earlier "through the frame" models. And now the new ones get the bonus of additional fuel capacity. I'm wondering; If I were to upgrade my 05 to the new inner/outer box & installed a race kit on if it, would be wiser to leave the snorkel in since it will be getting more than enough air? |

Yea it's not ram air on the current models. I was wondering myself what all differances there are. |

Never was honest "ram air", that was pure marketing slick willy talk. Bad on whoever put that into the Buell marketing speal. |
