this maybe a dumb question but does anyone know whether the longer wheel base will have a positive, negative, no effect on handling? (Message edited by lucky on July 23, 2005) |

Actually the extra 2" pits it amongst a host of other bikes. I doubt highly anyone of us here could ever detect a difference in handling though. |

Hey, I plugged into the old desktop monitor and I'm back in bidness. This is just too much fun! I don't remember any new Buell model release that has been anywhere near as fun as this one. Way to go Buell. You absolutely did the right think keeping it all under wraps. Is it just me, or are those nuke red looking rims on fire? Court, LOL! That is great stuff. Will be talking to our attorney asap. Stay tuned. Damn Buell corporate meddlers. Better tranny Easier clutch pull Std tool kit More fuel in the frame Bigger bike Bullet proof belt Extended trans oil drain interval Killer pillion State of the Art Hard Bags accessory outlets G friggin' PS! All that's left is a bit more power. Bring on the turbo-Buell or supercharger Buell! Gotta save something for 2007. Congratulations to Erik, Abe, and all the folks at BMC! |

I picked up the Cycle World with the Article and comparision of the Ulysses It is very very favorable towards Buell. I really like what they have done even with the minor changes |

I'm giggling at the "nothing new for 2006" pundits....this is a HUGE year for Buell. They went and did about EVERYTHING Badwebbers asked for. Any takers on guessing how the Ulysses will sell? This thing is going to sell like hotcakes. Court |

Hey, the City X also has that cut in the air box cover. Did they change the inner airbox also? |

Coyote_xb12s, really like your Photoshop color work. The red one look so nice! Can't wait to see the new Sunset Orange XB12Ss and the Valentia Orange in real. Those new Buell look so nice. |

Good move with the Long, a buddy test drove a 12S recently and hated how cramped the seat/bars position is. Otherwise he liked the bike. I wish Buell or an aftermarket company would make a seat for the older S's that are higher and flatter, even if it nixed the passenger seat with a small cowl or something. It is good to see Buell changing what I know to be consumer peaves with the bike. |

Well, add me to the list of disappointed people: I've only just made the 12th payment on my Firebolt, so I can't buy an 'X (with full bags and a shorty seat, and thanks) until at least 2008! |

Hey Coyote_xb12s, good job on the Photoshop colors. If anyone at Buell is listening, I would buy the green plastics in a heartbeat if they were brought to market. Looks great. |

I wasn't too impressed at first ,until I sorted out that the seat was two tone on the orange Ulysses, but I already like the pillion accomodation better for the wife. I wonder if I can get the orange body with the black seat. |

I have a feeling all of the dealers that have dropped Buells are going to be kicking themselves in the arse. These new models have answered all of the complaints/requests from bike reviewers abroad. Anyone who sees these models and doesn't get excited about what buell is doing, doesn't have a pulse. |

Most would like to drop the dyna and v rods too. Some just do not know how to sell. They are still waiting for you to beg to buy one. Right Daves? |

Is it just me or does the luggage/backrest on the Ulysses remind you of a Beaver Tail??? |

hehe, I was gonna insert a "he said beaver" response with a Beavis & Butthead pic, so I did an image google, and, oh my, take a look at this poor guy. I will never feel sorry for myself ever again... |
