Is it just me, or does everyone else stink of exhaust fumes when they're done riding? |

Lol, that and other things. Nothing you can do about that. You are around other cars and whatnot. |

around the city of boston and surrounding highways. It seems like the bike exhaust emanates into clothing. |

Yep. Its just like being in a barn, or around smokers. Wait till you go on a ride in the midst of a boatload of harley riders. Exhaust smell in your clothes so rich, it'll make you physically ill. |

Go west beyond Framingham. We have a special BRAG club that makes us immune to such smells. Also, Boston smells very bad. |

If you don't smell after a ride. You didn't RIDE. (Message edited by cataract2 on July 20, 2005) |

either something is very wrong with your bike, or you need to run it outside the garage more. from a range of 6 feet, my wife can tell what restaurant i have eaten at, if i have been within arms reach of another female, and can sometimes identify said female. her nose is so sensitive it is scary. she has never noticed exhaust smell from my riding either sportster or buell motorcycles. perhaps you are running a tad rich, or maybe following busses very close? |

" any suggestions for twisty roads in Mass?" Get on route 2, go west. A lot! things get interesting at about Greenfield. Continue until you get to Troy then turn around and do it again. Also, a good target of opportunity is 8A (not 8 but 8A) In CT, route 44 is great once you get west. and route 12 just gets better and better the further north you get. It gets SICK in VT. Route 31 is fun south of sturbridge. route 201 in Maine is great up near the border. Also, try doing a lap around the quabbin rez. All of these are fun but watch out for tractors! They're not expecting to see anything on those streets at 70. |
