anyone know if there is a difference between the 9 and 12 exhausts, thanx, hans |

12 exhaust can has a butterfly valve. The 9 does not have a valve. The 12 headers are 1.75" The 9 headers are 1.5" That's all I can think of. |

Indeed. The twelve has a servo activated valve that is controlled by the ECM to improve torque at I believe the midrange. First used by Honda early 90's I believe. |

Actually Yahama was using consistantly on some of thier bikes since 1987, I think they were the first to really start using it. Seems like most the other companies just picked it up in the last 5 years or so. |

Yamaha's System is very different actually.It sucked.Ihad nothing but problems with my 91 FZR 1OOO. |

I believe I read somewhere in here that the 12 exhaust is a little longer than the 9... right? |
