Just got back from a trip on the XB. I've got to say, I have fallen in love with my bike all over again. I've had a few problems in the past, and was questioning the reliability of it, but it worked flawlessly all the way to Devil's tower in Wyoming from Greeley, Colorado. The only issue I have is, I still cannot feel my throttle thumb, and I think I left my butt at the halfway mark on the way home! For anyone who's never been to the Devil's Tower but has wanted to, don't delay. It's very cool, and pictures don't do it justice. |

Sounds like a great trip. Maybe a Corbin seat in your future? I upgraded to the Buell touring seat on my XB9R after a similar 500+ mile day left me "buttless", well worth it! We as a Badwebr's need to figure out some throttle locks for long rides, any suggestions? |

A friend of mine who has a R1 got a set of bar ends that lock the throttle. $150 for the set, but they look pretty good, not sure where he got them though. I can ask if anyone is interested. d |

On the numb thumb... I got a Crampbuster, the standard size and regular width one, and it is a great help. I have some carpal tunnel problems (numbness on the palm and loss of feel in the fingers). I also have the "just started riding again and am holding on too tight" thing, when I lighten my grip my hands wake up. The Crampbuster just catches 1/2" or so of the heel of my hand, it is quickly repositioned out of the way by flipping it up and around. If you order it from the Crampbuster web site they pay the shipping. Jack |

Throttlemeister and a throttle rocker combination. Best comfort accessories you can put on a Buell. (03 XB9R with 33,000 miles) |

Wow! Thanks! I'll definitely be looking into a throttle lock, since it seems trips like these will be an annual event now. As for the Corbin seat, I just don't like the looks of it. I was thinking about the upgraded Streetfighter seat (http://www.buell.com/en_us/bikes_gear/accessories/productslist.asp?Menu_ID=4&ID= 1933&MITEM=77) on the Buell site. Anyone have any experience with it? |
