I am a newbie to this excellent forum. I was wondering where do you get the xb12s cover. I checked the buell website and yahooed it and nothing about it. Where do you get it and do they come painted to your bikes original color. What about the price? I have heard about $35. Thank you, all the info that you have given me is very helpful. |

All the parts you need are a click or a phone call away to any of the great sponsors here, just look at the sponsor banners. Or call Dave at Appleton H-D Buell. O and I'm pretty sure all the out side covers are the same, you need the 12 air box that is under the painted piece- more volume. Someone correct me if I'm wrong |

Cmm213 is correct. It is not the outer colored cover you want but the inner one. And yes they all fit the same on all bikes. I don't know about more volume but the 12 cover is a definite improvement. It's all about that inverted cone inside. It directs & flows the air much more efficiently than a 03-04 9 cover. One last tidbit cause I think it's kinda cool. None of the plastics are painted. The color is molded in. |

Not so a recommendation as a "this is what i did": 12 airbox Pro Air Filter Pro Plugs "De-Snorklefication" Part no.s in my profile. Smooths things out nicely. Very affordable. Not really a HP upgrade but rather a removal of some EPA stuff and allowing the engine to breathe and be all that it can be [in stock form]. |
