I have this jack made for lifting motorcycles with flat rails under the engine. Does anyone have any ideas how I can adapt it to lift on the muffler of my XB?

Wood box with the inverse curve of the muffler at the topside, fitted with felt or indoor/outdoor carpet at topside to prevent scratching of muffler. Don't have one but have seen others that do. |

Have you tried it like it is? Another user has one exactly like it. We have lifted his XB12 and my XB9 on it with no problems at all. |

Thanks Gjmcmanus. I missed that thread. I'm going to try and make a wooden adapter. For the Canucks on this site... I bought the jack on sale at Canadian Tire for $89.00cdn. I think that's about $70.00 us. |

I fabricated a new saddle out of steel to fit my Craftsman lift. It fits the stock exhaust perfectly and is so stable that I don't even have to tie it down. I can roll the bike around on the lift and change both tires at the same time all without using tie downs. The lift slides perfectly under the bike without rolling the bike on blocks. I can build probably 3 or 4 of the saddles for $100.00 ea. If anyone is interested I will try to figure out how to post some pics of my setup. |

Don't have a problem jacking our bikes up...we all have d&d's. They're flat on the bottom. I've jacked the bike up without the exhaust on though. Used a board and some blocks to stabilize it. |

I think a curved saddle for these is great - should keep it steady. And Al, I have to point out the obvious - to start selling stuff a sponsorship might be in order...might not want to post offers to make them. |

custom chrome has a lift for buells for $138 see the money you spent on JUNK for your buell could be spent on a lift made so you don't have frig around with boards and blocks and lumber. |

I looked for the lift on Custom Chrome's website, but only found front and rear stands, each for about the price you mentioned. Can you please post a link for the stand that lifts both ends at the same time? |
