This Lightning paintwork is shown on a 05 SX. The plastics are "GENUINE" factory items, produced in limited numbers, and supplied to dealers at a recent HD/Buell show in the US. This plastic set (except frontshield) was on a Buell in a South London dealership. SX overview SX front fender XB OE airbox

Think how much a *GOOD* paint job costs on a "normal" bike. $719 is an AWESOME deal IMHO. You need to see it on a bike to appreciate it. |

When I was buying my bike @ Precision HD/Buell, they had a CityX with the voltage kit and all the rest of the accessories on it in the showroom. It was an extra almost 2 grand and it didn't come with any of the stock stuff. I think it was a $600 difference between the accessorized CityX and my XB12Scg. |

the post by stou has got nothing to do with advertising has it? where is he saying that he is in busines? he is just showing his ride off and then blake turns it into a $$$ chase. soon all this site will be is ads and sponsors pushing there warez what is the problem with a photo of a nicely painted buell? soon all we will see is sponsors buells. |

Wiz, some posts, and portions of posts were deleted. While I don't always agree with Blake, I KNEW this was gonna happen on the thread |

Thank you Steve. Wizard might not have noticed the "edited by Blake" notation on Stou's original post. Perhaps I should have clarified that I had removed the offending content/posts. I'll do so next time. Just wondering though Steve, why the need to preface that you "don't always agree with Blake"? Frankly in my efforts to maintain the site I'm little concerned with you or anyone agreeing with me. I am most concerned that everyone acknowledge and respect the very simple and reasonable board policies to which every participant on BadWeB has indeed already agreed. And by the way, I don't know a single soul in the universe who always agrees with me, so you can count yourself among a vast overwhelming unanimous club in that respect. Heck, I don't always agree with me. I do try to avoid arguing with myself in public though. Secondly, and this goes out to everyone reading it... if in the future you once again come accross a similar scenario on BadWeB where you "KNEW this was gonna happen", please, please, please speak up and help me out. This forum is for all of us; the more everyone pitches in to help maintain its integrity, the better it will be - for ALL of us. I absolutely HATE having to address these kinds of issues and especially the inevitable time-wasting whiny complainers who feel compelled to spout their condemnatory bile. Which leads me to... <sigh> Wizard, If you don't like the way the board is managed you are free to make constructive suggestions towards improving it; there's even a topic for doing just that. That kind of positive contribution to the site would be most welcome and much appreciated. What is not welcomed are posts griping whining and complaining - questioning the actions of those, me included, investing their time and energy to maintain BadWeatherBikers.com. If you really resent the fact that the site requires funding and support from sponsors in order to exist from one month to the next, I urge you to give a go at creating a Buell Enthusiasts' site of your own design and policies; suggest you call it "CommieBuellRiderz.org". Then you can let everyone and anyone exploit the site as they wish, advertising free of charge their state approved services and/or wares. Good luck with that, comrade. If not, welcome to BadWeB and thanks for understanding.
Thank you Stou for the kind apology. It was unnecessary though very thoughtful and kind. Though I'm a bit puzzled that after your kind apology you once again posted content in violation of board policy and that I was obliged to remove. This time I simply removed your entire post. That kinda sours your apology for me. How about we simply drop it. Not another word need be said on the issue. Maybe you can tell us how you achieve your cool custom paint/artwork. It truly looks like your bike is on fire. Without a doubt it is the most lifelike flame job I've ever seen. Very very nice and without a doubt contributing at least another 10% to the speed of the bike. |

"Then you can let everyone and anyone exploit the site as they wish, advertising free of charge their state approved services and/or wares. Good luck with that, comrade." . It's funny you mention that he can do that Blake... There's a (I'm sure unrelated ) site called Assy Buell Riderz or something like that... the policies of that board are pretty much the same as this one wrt advertising as I recall, yet the purveyor of that board comes over here quite regularly as multiple people and promotes their wares violating both your policy AND their own ... I'm sure YOU know about all of that, but I really feel that others should as well. |

That kit on the Lightnings looks good from the pics. Has anyone seen the kit for the FireBolts??? From the pics, I'm not too impressed but maybe it looks better in person... Kevin |

I saw a set for the 'bolts up at hal's. I was not as impressed as I expected to be. It was under flourescent lights though and as such probably not the best way to form an opinion. I expect the next generation of this stuff to be better. |

I wish they would sell the kit in pieces. I would like to put that airbox cover on my red firebolt. |
