bought a used 03xb9s fully stock with an extended service plan. Want to put on exhuast but dealer says you can only put on HD certified parts on and installed by a certified HD mechanic or service plan is byebye. So he quoted me a XB racing muffler w/install for $435. Is this the best bet or is this guy pulling my chain, or belt? Appreciate any help, Thanx!!!!!! |

You can install them yourself but they can force you to use factory parts. Its really up to your dealer. Some dealers don't care what muffler you have and will honor your warranty.I'd check into a different dealer honestly.I'll bet they have put various brands of pipes on HD's and honor there customers warranty's on their HD's. |

Badweb price on the race muffler thru me is 319.45 Are you talking about an extended warranty plan or a plan that you prepaid for your regular services? |
