Al from American Sport Bike is working on one...the difference in size between a 9 and a 12 header made him have to go retool... |

Nothing like 90 degrees with 90% humidity up here last weekend. Thank god it's cooled off a bit now. |

Hi, 240 Euro exportprice, thats 290 US$ (www.xe.com)in best ILMBERGER Carbon Quality. But the transportcosts are killing. Wish sometimes to be with you in the USA (-: I developed that "splitair" scoop and it is the only rightside airscoop that fits also with bigger diameter Header Exhaustsystems like our DeepThunder complete system. A rightside airscoop let the fan only run when you ride stop and go. Regards Jens www.hillbilly-motors.com More info: http://www.hillbilly-motors.com/html/buell_splitair_scoop.html |

I know it's costly but you won't find a better one anywhere. At least till we see what Al has up his sleeve. I could be mistaken cause I've only see photos and looks can be deceiving, but it appears that the Trojan one is the same size as the stock scoop. It's contoured on the bottom for header clearance and is just a simply great design. Other scoops I've seen were scaled down in size to clear the headers & looked a wee bit off when you viewed the bike from the front (again in photos). On edit: I would love to see the Trojan design in platic so that it would be a perfect match right out of the box. If that ever came to be I would probably start saving my pennies really quick. I like the balanced look of the right side scoop and all, but a smartass little voice inside me asks what's next - you gonna add a left side drive too? Actually I really like it. I just wish someone made one with the same finsh/texture of the lefty. |

I have the Trojan scoop. WELL worth the dough. It took about 10 minutes to paint and 5 to install. Best option I added to my bike yet. It is NEARLY the same size as the left, but the difference is so small, you have to stare to notice. Fan has been silent since install. |

I placed a nice big order from Trojan and it included one of those. Krylon paint is awesome for this stuff |

Got mine installed - fan still runs but bike seems to be cooler now. Painted with black engine paint from O'Reilly's - the 1200 degree stuff - worked pretty well. |

Joele, does the fan run while the bikes moving or in stop and go? Figure it will still run when you shut the bike off at least. |

Mmm.. Good question. Can't say for sure, yet whether it runs while cruising. D+D and ear plugs make it hard for me to tell but I will try to pick up on it next ride. |
