Had to ride when you have to study for a test tomorrow. Oh, wait... Can't study when I'm surfing this site neither can I? Well, I think it's time to wash the bike... |

No, XB's beat 600's because of the Flux Cappacitor (Oft asked about cooling fan noise). |

i tell 'em its a built-in hairdryer! anon poster sounded like erik buell .. i am gonna get a supersport next year .. can't decide .. the zx-10r sounds so exciting, but my skills are up to that .. thinking either gsxr1000 k5, or cbr1000rr (said to be most neutral & unintimidating) glad guy brought up *delirium* .. but i thought ALL bikes were made entirely of that stuff!! ;P lastly, chasing a stage 1 modded 2003 fxdx, my xb12r was bouncing off the freaking limiter like mad & losing ground (well, not gaining fast enough) .. get rid of that thing!! its a new bike just broken in yet not serviced & no mods .. but i WAS surprised by the fxdx! a new respect for old school heavy harleys. |

Vonsliek, if you get down to the choice of the ZX10R or the Gixxer, go for the Gixxer. I have a buddy that owns both, an '04 Kaw and the new '05 Gixxer. The Gixxer punishes the Kaw in handling, roll-on, top end, etc. He has them both, rides his Gixxer, parks his Kaw. |

You WILL need a steering damper on the ZX10R. The Gixxer comes with one. I repeat, you WILL need a steering damper on the Kawasaki. |

I have buddy's that have all of the above mentioned bikes. The '03 & '04 Gixxer 1000 is about the best 1000cc supersport bike for the street. If you want latest/greatest it's the '05 GSX-R1000, no question. Equal riders on each of them the Gixxer will win in any/all areas of riding. |

Read the mags ie: sportrider, motorcyclist... They've had good reviews. One drawback A friend of mine complains of is heat off the pipes on the new R1, and gearing is to close. Check into it. |
