Yep. Here's one I have mapped. You should also hit the DFW section of the StormFronts board. http://www.forthefew.com/routes/sw/ Here's a link to a recent discussion on this topic as well: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/32777/117441.html?1117346288 What part of the Metroplex are you in? |

That road down by Glen Rose is a good one. The annual Cushman Owners gathering used to be in Cleburn. There are some good roads North of Plano but I don't recall the names. When they were building the jetport, back in the days when the tollway extended only to the LBJ, we used to go play up North. |

Court, I need to find those roads. I've always hesitated exploring that direction due to how new and well-planned the communities are. Everything seems to be laid out within a square grid. Navygunner (a local to that area who's currently off serving in Thailand) knows those areas well. Perhaps he'll be able to chime in before too long and clue us in. |

If you got time, make it down to Austin and head west into the hill country, bring your knee pucks! |

If you did get to the Austin area, the roads to go to are 335, 336, and 337

CPTN-Those are some of the roads I use to ride. I have asked several times but no one knows, do they still meet in Bandera on Sunday mornings? Great little breakfast joint that caters to the MC crowd on Sundays. Rows and rows of hill country tourists parked in their lot. Man do I miss TX. |

FACT: There are no better roads in Texas than the ones around Austin. |

This is my home away from home...Hwy 337 in the heart of the Texas Hill Country. Don't forget the Motorcycle Stop over in Leakey. Always makes it in the top 10 for favorite stops in Ride Texas magazine...another good source of places to go and visit in Texas. Ride Texas should be on the magazine stands that have a good selection of motorcycle magazines... |

Hay if anyone in Texas (near Whitchitaw Falls) has a spare bike the week before the 4th of july and won't mind riding w/ a Michigan Bueller... My sister in law is getting married June 25th and the wife and i will be down that way for most of the following week, and i am sure i will miss my X1 quite profoundly.... just a thought.. lol |

Captain, Those roads are a lot closer to San Antonio than Austin. That there be the Texas Hill Country near Kerville, Texas. They are the best roads I know in Texas. If you are North of Dallas the closest best twisty road action is Skyline Drive between Talahena, OK and Mena, AR. Then again, that is a good three hours from you, so you best come out for a track day at Motorsports Ranch in Cresson, or out to Oak Hill. |
