I've been thinking of ways to cure the sloppy feel of my throttle after I installed Azonic dirt bars - which is odd, both are ~7/8 - and ran into this... Pro Taper Twister Throttle Tube Looks like it would be pretty smooth but I have no idea what might be compatible with an XB throttle tube. Search didn't turn up much so.. . anyone upgrade their throttle with a unit like the ProTaper or something similar? Think any of the dirt ones would work? A $72 experiment is most likely in my near-future  | ||

sloppy feel?? maybe the throttle cables need adjustment. my aluminum 7/8 bars are working well with the stock throttle pipe, and the kimpex electric grip heaters. | ||

Mine were really sloppy also, until I adjusted them near the throttle body. Got rid of all the slop. | ||

hmm, ok, thanks. i've adjusted the cables but maybe i still have slack in one. the weird feel is at the end of the bar/throttle though, like i can move it around a little, not twisting it. does that make sense? its like there is too much gap between tube and bar. i'll try readjusting the cables again and see if it clears up. btw, i hate those little plastic adjusters too. seem cheapo. | ||

To do it right you need to be able to look at the throttle body. Then and only then you will be able to tell if you got all the slopp out. | ||

If you want to find another throttle tube that will work, pull the stocker off and take it with for comparison. This way you can get the pull spacing correct. |
