As of Monday the 6th I will be a proud owner of a Brand New 04 Buell XB12S. The sales guy gave me the bike for 7700 + taxes and fees so it came out to around 8200, I also ordered about 600 bucks worth of parts, because when you buy a new bike here all parts you buy too are 20% off. Then I put a 1000 bucks down so The total came to like 7856 out the door for everything. HD is giving me 1.99% financing for 1 year and then 7% after that for 4 more years. I have to go back up Monday with the rest of the paperwork and to pick it up. Im so excited, I think I got a pretty good deal on it? |

The parts that I baught with the bike were, Air Cleaner Kit ECM Kit, Frame Pucks, And Jardine RT1 Muffler. I plan on chopping the cheese grater off and putting the license plate unter the rear fender. Im also buying tiny turn signals to put on. Im trying to make the sleekest looking XB. Well that my goal anyway. |

I know the chopped grater looks better chopped, but if you can stand it, Wait till you get caught in the rain one time then decide. |

Yeah but Im going to try and not get caught in the Rain. Since this is my 3rd vehicle (1 truck, 1 car, 1 bike), Ill probably just ride it on the nice days. If I know its going to rain that day Ill just take something else. But I do know that I cant always be certain about the rain and I will get caught in sooner or later. |

Riding in the rain sucks no matter what! Bikes were ment to be riden on sunny days and should be properly made to look that way! I say, chop away!!! |

When people ask me what I do when it rains, I say I get wet I have yet to ride my 12S in the rain but based on my previous bikes, riding in a light rain isn't too bad if you have good tires. It's the downpours & hail storms that suck big time. I fear black ice more than anything. I don't know about snow. I don't want to know about snow. I'm very grateful that I live in an area that never gets snow. Congrats on the bike. Awesome deal! |

I have a chopped cheese grater and it isn't bad riding in the rain with it. If you accidently get caught in a bad down-poor it dosen't matter because you are going to get wet anyway. In a drizzle you don't even notice it. |

Only time my bike gets washed is when it rains. |

Forget about snow. The dumbest thing I ever tried was to ride up my buddie's driveway in the snow. Road was dry, but the driveway was all packed down, bald D207's, and slight uphill. I made it about twenty feet before I started making glass. |
