The scuttlebutt from one of the other posts by a guy that is at Homecoming is: There will be two new models, both geared toward larger riders. No more information was given. Any of you guys at Homecoming care to elaborate? http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/4062/118755.html?1117807478 (Message edited by Indy_Bueller on June 03, 2005) |

Anonymous...Will the bikes be in the dealers soon after the announcement is made like the Street Rod was? No need to answer if the dates aren't set in concrete. Come to think of it, there is no need to answer at all. I'm a patient guy... |

You know what I am thinking? I love my current ride, but I love upgraded stuff too! I am wondering if Buell comes up with an upgraded short stroke engine with larger displacement about the cost of swapping engines? Does anyone know how much a current XB12 or XB9 engine costs? I would be willing to ride it to Appleton, or anywhere that has a competent tech, to make sure the installation was done right! Anybody have the same thoughts...really don't want to give up a member of the family, but would not mind getting a transplant? Cyko Bob |

The big scoop is this... The new XTC (Xtreme Total Control) bike will have a wheelbase 3 in longer, seat hight will be 21in, and rear sets only. Engine is brand new flat 6, with 146 hp, 160 ftlbs of torque. 11000 rpm redline. Water cooled, diesel fuel. Supposedly uses only 3 qts of oil in engine/tranny. Tranny is 6 spd, electric shift. 40000psi diesel fuel injection has 75 mpg, 60 in city. Perimeter brakes front and rear. Colors will be Green, Purple and Burnt Orange (with accessory "racing stripe" kits avail. List price unknown yet |

Hey Rockbiter1! That is so weird - I heard the *exact* same thing except I also heard there will be burnt umber and ultramarine blue color options. |

Indy - those 2 new models appearing at Homecoming geared toward larger riders are the often-referred-to fat chicks from Minnesota. That's all I'm allowed to say without giving away any more details of MY highly sensitive, priveleged information that was given to me by a highly-placed HD/Buell insider. Maybe it was a HD/Buell insider who was high? |
