whats up guys? got a couple questions. My cityX is starting to stumble at constant RPMs any place on the rev range below 4500. could it need a reset? I know it is running lean with the intake and exhaust mods because it pops on decel and I plan to return to stock exhaust till I can get the TFI. should the reset fix the problem or is it caused by the lean condition and be fixed by the stock pipe. It will soon get hot out here and I dont want to fry my baby! |

1. Probably not a TPS reset problem - yet. 2. You most likely need to enrich the mixture. 3. Simplest way to do that is to change over to Buell Race ECM - then you will need a TPS reset for sure. 4. The other way to enrich is with a TFI. Proper adjustment of this unit has proven problematic for some members, others are happy with it. Seems to work best when adjusted on a Dyno. |

THe TFI can really be a PITA. If you don't like fiddling with knobbies, experiment A LOT and possibly paying for dyno time, get the race ecm. It will save you some headaches. The TFI is a cool tool and I'm happy with it (i think), but the hassle is not worth going through if you have done nothing more than the regular mods etc. |
