Just wondering if someone knew a good site to check out, with the best twisties to ride? I’m always looking for good roads close by. Most roads I find are sweepers and a few 90s or they are just to congested. I know someone’s going to say, take it to the track, but I’m just looking for good roads. I already know were the tracks are. |

I was just looking at the maps from last years Running the Ridge. The north and south loop. I think we should start at Bryson city and make a weekend trip out of it. We can call it '3%ers' running the ridge' Emmm! Sounds nice. |

Shred - You have guts man. I didn't think you would ever want to come back to NC after running the ridge. But I'm glad you do. BTW, do you have the maps from that ride? I'd like to get a copy if you could scan the for me. I was just going to suggest hw 421 into TN to mike. It is a very twisty ride. |

Ute pass brings back bad memories. Something about 77 in a 45 and a few hours in jail, of course it was 1978 and a jailable offense. DBird edit to insert Court reference. "remind me to tell you sometime" (Message edited by dbird29 on May 30, 2005) |

My first post on BadWeb. I live in West Virginia (Hillbilly born and raised)and enjoy my Mountain State's twisted road structure. Looking at our state map the roads that run from southeast to northwest like Rt 250 from Lurray, VA to Durbin, WV and Rt 33 from Harrisonburg, VA to Elkins, WV and Rt 60 From White Sulfur Springs, WV to just south of Charleston, WV over the peaks of the appalachians are usually the roads with the most elevation changes and most turns per mile and great rides. Roads that run southwest to northeast like Rt 219 from Rich Creek, VA all the way through eastern West Virginia on into western Maryland and Rt 119 that parallels Rt 219 generally are less mountainous running mainly through the valleys, but don't get fooled because just around the next gentle bend you might find yourself at the top of an 8 or 10 turn series of steep banked 180 degree turns droping 500 feet of elevation in less than a quarter mile. Sunday I rode Rt 50 from Winchester, VA to Grafton, WV and back and I had forgotten just how wickedly twisted that road is. Please consider a ride through my state and experience Wild, Wonderful, West Virginia roads. |

Only during the week. Before noon. Why is it that squids always seem to sleep until noon? www.tailofthedragon.com |

Ed, I just got back from Pennsylvania and I would agree that the roads in VA are good and twisty. Jim- now that I am home we have to plan that trip down my way, eat, party, and ride. |

Not to rub it in but......I just rode the Alps two weeks ago with my Dad. I recommend it to anyone. The Dolomites are nice even in early spring and late fall due to the warm Med air. Hate to leave Germany in July. |

Mike, Go east young man, go east! We've been lax on getting the rides going but that's about to change, I promise you. Greene Co, Wayne Co, western Pitt Co. have some good one. Of course there's always Maple Hill! Then there's a bunch of decent to good ones in Craven Co. between Ernul and New Bern. We've go to get another ride together! |

Rock, something tells me you have more curves on your subdivision area than I have in my entire state. |
