http://fukyuu.com/firstride.wmv Further evidence as to why you don't teach someone how to ride on your bike. Notice the guys wearing a dirt bike helmet and he doesn't even strap it on. Ofcourse the bike has to have the official squid exhaust to. I know I know, D&D makes good exhausts for Buells but they are utterly crap on CBRs/GSXRs/Ninjas/etc. |

Funny, the MSF course I took was nothing like that... In all honesty though, I was riding my Honda 700cc nighthawk SC for at least 2 months before I took the MSF course or got my temps. Never thought to try a 12 O'clock on the first day though.... |

If you must learn on a sportbike, it's probably better to learn on a bike that doesn't have a stunter final drive ratio. |

Ya I didn't even think about it probably being geared down, looks like the rear sprocket is a bit large but hard to see in the video. I had zero time on any kind of a motorcycle or even scooter before I took the MSF course. I'm definately glad I learned that way, totally worth the $100-150 that it cost. |

I definitly thought the MSF class was worth it. I learned by dropping THEIR bike, not MY bike. |

course should be mandatory requirement before a license is granted. most insurance companies give you a break too. |

The course is good to take, I took it after years of riding. To say that it should be mandatory is a little overboard. I had been riding for years before getting my endorsement and was more competent than most people after they take that course. |

course should be mandatory requirement before a license is granted. most insurance companies give you a break too. Even though I don't want the gov. to tell us what to do. I do say it should be highly recommended. That course saved me a ton of grief. |

The guy hosting the video can't even wear his cap on straight. You young'uns! Sideways caps and britches that show your crack. Whatever happened to the good old days of just knocking up some girl in the back seat of a '67 Chevy Impala? |

"most insurance companies give you a break too." Agree, however...American Family Insurance told me that they only give you a discount for MSF courses if you have taken them within the last year. As if you don't remember a damn thing about 1 year. I wanted to ask that dumb b**** if she had graduated college within the last year That's SO F***ING STUPID!!! Anyway those jackasses won't insure me on anything but a cruiser or scooter until I'm 25, and even then they'll charge me out the for anything sporty...so I don't ever see myself going with them, #UCK american family insurance. |

Hmmm, here is an interesting question Does anyone know if there is price difference for insuring an R vs an S XB. We all know that the bikes are identical aside from some bodywork and handlebars but do the insurance companies nail you harder for the firebolts than they do for the lightnings? |

I dont think there's difference in the R vs. XB, the difference comes in the 9 vs. 12. buells arent considered sport bikes by State Farm. |
