I'd betcha they'd sell a bunch more if it came from the factory looking like that (even w/ 90hp). That's damn sexy looking. Neil Garretson X0.5 |

Fairings, YECH!!!! Sorry, give me a naked bike, as naked as they get. Oh! I've already got one! I'm sure the faired racebike version would appeal to a large market though. |

Anyone notice the chain tensioner on Higbee's bike? I wonder how long it will be before the rest of the industry picks up on that. Greg |

Greg: Good eyes amigo. I wonder which came first the racebike chain tensioner or the production belt tensioner. That is such an elegant and simple solution to a problem that has rattled the brains of sportbike designers for wuite a while. Kudos to the engineer who recognized the constant path length scenario and offered it as a solution to our belt tension woes. |

Are we all agreeing that April 27th is THE date? Yesterday my dealer told me "late March, early April". Either someone is lying to him or I'm gonna be very suprised in a few weeks. He also said that I can have my pick of any of the XB accesories up front. I guess they're getting samples of everything, so I won't have to order stuff.... I'm talking apparel, windscreen, etc...no performance mods that I know of... I'm dying for some power! I've been getting rides in on my wife's Blast. It's fun to ride, but 40hp doesn't quite cut it for me. Was someone asking about insurance rates in here?? HD insurance quoted me about $350 a year for the XB. I need to call them back though because that just sounds too cheap. I was looking at a GSXR1000 and called for rates....good god man..$1700 a year! I'm 32, married and I have a PERFECT record...forget THAT! |

Just found this at SacB.O.R.G. ------------------------------- I just spent a half hour on the phone with Buell customer service. This is the official word on availability. Every Buell dealer will be receiving ONE Firebolt for the April 27th dealer release event. JUST ONE. This bike may be held at the dealer's discretion in order to display the new model. The stock of sold bikes will then be divided via the allocation process over the following few months. I have the first F-Bolt on order at Danbury Buell in CT and John at customer sport told me that He is unable to tell me when my bike will ship, but he would expect that the earlier bikes should arrive by the end of May at the latest. Doesn't make me happy...But at least I know when... Buell's #1 customer service guy's phone number 414-343-8400 Just ask for John

Oh ... okay, there you go getting me all excited ... they make about 27 as measured at the rear wheel when stock. 40hp actually makes the little buggers feel very fast. I've done some experimenting with one, I was just hoping to learn about a different setup is all. thanks anyway. |

Well the slow boat from East Troy has apparently set sail. Neil is to chase up a more accurate date of delivery on Monday for me. At the moment delivery is late April early May for me. |

You've seen it in white, you've seen it in blue, but what if it were red? How about yellow? What about other colors? If you guys have any other suggestions let me know. By the way, the sales manager at the dealer where I work said I'd definitely be one of the first to demo our Firebolt when we get it, which should be in the next 30 days. Mike L. '99 Cyclone |

It's kinda hard to get a true black. The closer you get the more you lose the contour of the airbox/tank. Here's what I came up with: Mike L. '99 Cyclone |

I can definitely do charcoal. Silver is a different story. While it's easy to make any color, it's a bit more difficult to make something appear metallic. I'll see what I can do. Mike L. '99 Cyclone AIM: CheetahRX7 YahooID: IH8FWD |
