One of the best and worst things about a new bike, is trying to figure out what mods you want to do first. And for me, no extra money to do it. 05s all come with pirelli's right? |

Man that is a tough choice between a RC51 and XB12R, maybe not by looking at a spec sheet or watching a race but they're both sweet machines. A friend of mine might be unloading his RC51 around the time I'll be able to pick up a new XB. His RC51 sure is going to be tempting, but I'm pretty sold on the XBs...time will tell. |

buell12hundo .. u & me both!! congrats .. i hope u get a right kick out of it!! so how do u find it after the r1?! i found the rear dunlop to get a bit light, on certain surfaces if i gas it .. but its a cool kinda loose .. quick shimmy then grip. they have great hwy mileage, as i found out today: solo to kelowna from calgary .. ack .. nearly 8.5 hrs in the saddle .. yeah, i know its lame .. but cops were around all over .. never ran out of gas & the buell only holds 14 liters .. longest stage was 149.5 km .. that was hard .. right in the middle of ride .. beautiful scenery .. nice air too, massive bugs that seemed to unfailingly find SMACK in the middle of my visor .. so glad i gave up open face .. that broke the bike in, right good! for the statisticians amoung you: 180kmh fastest speed traveled (4300rpm in 5th gear). most expensive gas: CA$1.07.9/L (revelstoke) cheapest gas: CA$84.9/L 16th ave. calgary. take care, paul. |
