Every Wednesday night there is a bike night at the local Nathans in Deer Park, LI. So I got home and decided to take my Custom Rigid out for a change. Its a hodge podge of parts that my Dad had laying around for some years, basic bike, Rigid Frame, 1340 EVO, 4 Speed kick only with a 8" over springer. I pull in and had a bunch of people come over and start taking pictures. As it turns out Full Throttle Magazine was having a bike contest and my "Hand Me Down" Chopper won "Best Custom" and to think I nearly took my XB"NineR" ..... I was pretty happy last night, even though I got caught in a major down pour, with a Trophy wedged in my leather jacket. I have a new appreciation for riding in the rain...with no suspension & and a pair of KD's. |
