Has anyone purchased the C/F (Harley branded) HJC helmet? possibly a cl14? If so... how has it held up to use and how well do the vents work, how quiet, etc... Man, it looks sweet and feels light in the show room. |

I tried it on at my local dealer and was thinking about getting it, but they didnt have that much feed back on them yet since there new to H-D. But then all I could think of was summertime riding and wearing a black helmet...whew, thinking it might get a bit hot. So I went with a Arai rx-7 corsair Edwards replica that weighs the same as the CF harley one. |

and the venting is awesome on it, I get a nice air flow through the helmet. Just expect to drop another benny or two over the price of the H-D one. |

yeah, an arai is the other way I would go. I was told about the c/f hd helmet, but the c/f is really attractive exposed as it is in the hd helmet. Anyone know if Arai still carries a red/black Wes Cooley replica? they make and carry far more than the web page shows if my past experiences still hold true. |

Total crap. Good for the first coupla months until the lining started to 'collapse' then loose, rattly and noisy. Visor lifts at speed. Avoid. |

I have the HD System/HJC Symax helmet (I didn't know it at the time or I could've saved $50-$75). I wear glasses, and it's much easier to put on and take off. It's holding up well after 6 months. I, too, didn't want the all-black look, so I totally disassembled it and painted it OEM Buell dark frame gray (matches my XB12S) and left the upper vents, lower chin vent, and neck trim black, put on a dark smoke visor, and had Erik sign it for good measure. And, if it gets scuffed I can just shoot the spot myself!
