Daves told me that this would probably happen. I installed the race ecm and the K & N air filter today. The bike will idle for about 10 seconds and then die. I have an appointment for the TPS to be reset on Thursday. Daves said that the chances of my bike running good with the new filter and ecm installed is slim to none without a TPS reset. I guess he was right. I guess I'll have to trailer it to his shop. Anyone else have this happen? Later |

Why not put the stock one back on and take the race ECM and a couple of spanners with you. 5-10 minutes in the parking lot should see you ready to get the TPS reset done. |

You MUST get a TPS reset at a dealer when changing to a different ECM. The ECM stores the reset value. |

Swaping the old ECM won't work. As soon as you unplug it you need a tps reset. |

Negative. An ecm that has been fitted to that bike already can be put back in with no problems. |

It is going to be barely 40 degrees this coming week here in WI. Trailering the bike is not the worst option!!! |
