So i put her on the dyno to see how she runs and to take a look at the A/F and it all looks good!! Im gonna run my buddys XB12R tomarrow so i can post them agianst each other (my runs were on our old dyno computer and they all go lost) but anyway...100.10HP and 85.15TQ (im happy with the numbers for now) the A/F is good, I just put the stock air box back on and took the choped on out...well at least till i get the FORCE and TFi..then i might put it back on and see what it will do. |

Mike thats awesome. So I was guessing right that the stock air box would help rich'n it up enough that its not lean....thats great!!!BTW the muffler came via UPS and is in good shape like you said. Its now just stored for good keeping. Thanks Man!!! |

First pic is just the New Dyno Run, the second is my bike stock and with the race kit, but we have a new computer on our dyno and all of the runs on WinPep are gone so i used photoshop to put the new runs on the old runs. Here are the Mods. Race Kit, Nallin Stage 3 heads CNC ported with 1.900" intake and 1.615" exhaust valves, .600 lift springs, heads were decked .015, cometic base and head gaskets.

Rageonthedl Nice, Stock bore and stroke?? Do you mean the heads were machined .015 thats all? 1.900 intake and 1.615 pardon me but are these oversized never got into the xb`s yet so I don`t know?? whats cometic base and head gaskets are they the stock thickness or thinner?? so is this all your engine mods except the springs?? |

Hmm , I forgot to ask ya if the valve seats are stock ? Also are you just using the race ecm by itself.. |

Bore and Stroke are stock. I just had the heads decked alittle to make sure they were flat. yeah the valves are over sized and are the old XL/EVO style valves (stem is much bigger than the XB) Cometic gaskets are constructed of an embossed stainless steel metal substrate coated with a proprietary hi temperature rubber material that virtually eliminates leakage when joining two metal surfaces. Head gaskets are a multi-layer design, require no dowel pin o-rings, .040” head and .020” base gaskets (they are thinner). and yep thats all, i even still have the snorkel in. |

Hey Rageonthedl, Numbers ... No numbers, No dynos here just rely on what I can feel being rich or lean , Yeah its a guessing game but with the force muffler on the stock 12 header it pulls hard got a tfi on it still playing with that plus the reg. other mods.. Got a power commander on route as well, Got no 100 ponies on the rear wheel though :-))) or :-((((((((( BUT I`ll catch ya next year LoL Did someone say 1450 kit.. :-)Going to build one and set it on kill , If I can get 3 or 4 thousand miles on it I wd. be MORE than HAPPY The old BAr Hopper |

Do you recall what peak HP your race kitted bike made? You don't have a printout of the old dyno run? |

Imadumbass. Thanks for explaining to me and not calling me names. That is one heck of a great dyno report on the three different configurations. Thanks for sharing that. The race kit sure gives good bang for the buck. |

More to the point, can I get it done over here in Scotland? Need to find a quality machine shop though as I'd probably go for the 1250 and S3 heads. Think I'll e-mail NRHS in case they have dealt with anyone over here. I'm salivating at the thought. |

Thanks Blake thats what I was after, That works out to probally like 325. 00 per H.power to me here in Canada, Damn them ponies are $$$$$$ And then again one still has to get the labor bill on top of that as well...If you can`t do it yourself that is, So I`m thinking the best Bang for your buck wd. be to Stroke and big bore that puppy, IF ya want a better return for the $$$$ |

Well I only Spent $50 total in parts and labor for the heads. Heads were free and I did all the labor (only took like 2 hours to take it all apart and like 3.5 to put it back together...gotta make sure everything is TQed right) only thing I had to buy was Scramin' Eagle cylinder studs and the rocker box gaskets. |

Rageonthedl, For what its worth , I am running a force can on my stock 12 header and it seems to be running okay to this point, have now put on a tfi also and have that set at pot 1=3, pots 2 and 3 =0, and pot 4 = 7:30 to 7:45 seems okay... Will play with pot 2 and 3 more but just a little at a time, ( told George at TFI what I am running and he said to try 3,5,3,8 but I will perhaps try that but a little at a time ) I think alot of ppl. have plms, with the force when using the header it comes with being different length and size and all, with the stock 12 header I don`t think its much of a change than using the D&D, latus, race, or the drummer for that matter as I have tried all of the above...However the FORCE SOUNDS the BEST :-))) |

LoL Yup I know what ya mean there , I`ll probally try a few of them head works myself as I have ported and polished a few over the years myself etc.etc Just cleaning up the castings etc., and decking the heads 5 angle valve job, etc one wd. be surprised the better performance this gives and its Cheap if again you can do it yourself :-)) |
