Newfie_Buell: There's more than one anonymous playing in here! I could tell you who I am but you would all ban me for life and I NEED the tech info all of you have to offer! I'm a quasi regular poster under my real name though...the powers that be could figure out who I am fairly quickly if they wanted too. They may have done it already just on general principle. No worries if they have... Blake: I am an ass, I am an ass, I am an ass! Easy to admit because it's soooo true! Yes, I do like to argue, I just don't like to lose friends when I do it...which is why I'm glad that this anony post thing is here! Perhaps if you ask around at the MITM in Omaha I will tell you who I am...;) (No, I'm not John Irvine a.ka. Lurch, nor am I bighairyralph) Your right, as usual, on the XB9Rs ship date. Hopefully I didn't "stir the pot" too much, but remember...I am NOT the only one posting in this discussion as anonymous and *I* did refrain from a WWF style cage match discussion a' la' labusas! S32002, no I've never played high stakes poker. Buell's competition is not the only one sitting at the table in this case though, their CURRENT CUSTOMERS are as well. Including the money they have to spend on new bikes. Which...would be me. Peace all, and I can't wait to ride a bolt...hopefully Buell will give me a reason not to buy something else here soon. |

Arvel, Poker or war, never show your hand before it's time. Face to face nuclear holocaust war? At that range it's be killed no matter who fires first. Greg |

Greg, Isn't that what the automobile industry is doing this year? Current thoughts, and I hope their wrong, is that Ford is just the first at the "let's get cheaper labor for the future trough." Bet all of those jobs suddenly show up in Brazil in the about 18 months at the next model change for the Taurus and other popular models. Arvel Where's my geiger counter, need to tend the babies in the basement. |

Anonymous said "ass" three times! Now I'm all excited. Sorry, didn't mean to make you feel threatened. Another lame attempt on my part at humor gone awry. Really? You'll be at MITM? That narrows it down quite a bit. I have no idea who ya are though. But, heck, even if I did, I'd still treat ya like a red headed stepchild, but no way I'd take offense. Seeing as how you have joined BAA (BadWeBAssholesAnonymous) I dub thee "Anon A". That oughta help us keep separate the various anonymouses posting here. Blake A |

Arvel, For a while I was really getting into m/c roadracing, but after the wifes accident last fall, and a couple friends who have had bad get offs...kinda turned me off, I've got enough aches and pains now, w/o going out of my way to add to them. Actually, I'm seriously looking into the new[ish] Spec Miata. Early 90's miatas (nothing but stock motor) and very limited changes allowed to body, suspension, etc (and all discounted Mazda parts). Farily cheap (for racing), fairly reliable, and should be a blast. Trying to get things lined up to rent one for a SCCA drivers school this spring...plus I *really* like wheel-wheel racing...the SOLO stuff just didn't do it for me. If money were less of an object, I'd really love to do Spec Ford, but alas, lowly paper pusher doesn't pay that well. Neil Garretson X0.5 |

Anyone care to divulge the Firebolt's valve sizes? Anyone know if the parts books are available? -Saro |

Arvel: the art of war is even losing some ground with the westernization of the Chinese business ethic, but its still a damn fine book |

Valves in a Firebolt are smaller and will not help an older motor. |

I also am looking to the XB for go-fast parts for a Blast. The front head and the cams are of interest. But I have no clue if they'll hurt or help or what it'd take to get them on there. |

Aaron- I suspect you've developed your Blast package beyond whay you might get with stock XB components. I was looking at the XB stuff as a way to get the POTENTIAL of 1/2 the XB power - if it can be made to carburate cleanly with the 40mm CV and a Dial-A-Jet. I like the idea of XB cams 'cause I assume they'll work better with the rod length : stroke ratio of the Blast... I really don't want to be the guy to cause this to go off topic, though... Maybe we can yak about this in the Blast area someplace... -Saro |

They're doing something right if they're getting a 7500rpm power peak out of it. That's not easy, to get that much breathing. Sure, I've got more than half the XB's power, but we're comparing modified to stock. What could I get if I started with some XB pieces instead? That's the question I want to answer. |

Damn Aaron now you have me thinking about buying a XB head and Cams instead of the "Nallin Kit" |
