Go to: http://babelfish.altavista.com/ and type in the address. You will get an amusing translation. It seems positive from what I can understand. Gary |

Hmm, I see they still haven't solved their body fit problems. Look at that hood. ...I did say the best built *chrysler*...not the best built car!! You wanna hear some whinning, ask me about about the lemon Cherokee I had...wholy cow, that thing made the buell seem like a honda! ========== And to whomever asked...I could give a rat's ass who's name is on the tank, if it spins my crank, fits what I'm looking for and the price is right! ========== Court, your wondering about your next hobby...I'm quickly sliding down the slippery slope of SCCA/NASA sportscar racing...cripes that's a bigger $$$ blackhole than boating, but damn if it's not more fun than should be legal!!!! A couple of interesting points... 1) Reading the posts in this thread since I last left it I am amazed at how many people are asking for a Buell "Superbike" with more RWHP than what Buell currently makes. Those of you who told me I was all alone in my desire for a faster Buell take note...I was correct in stating that there are a LOT of *current* Buell customers who wish our beloved MoCo would bring us bikes with more POWER! BTW, I *would* like the opportunity to ride a Buell with 140-160 horsepower. I take my life into my hands everytime I ride anyway...may as well enjoy it to the fullest eh? :D 2) I wish Buell would TELL us what is coming, rather than letting us die in suspense like this. I *am* buying a new bike soon. Will it be a Buell? I don't know...are they going to have anything that is comfy to do miles on? Why won't the tell us? I would wait, even until next year, if they would simply give me a REASON too! Signing off...and taking my Cheese and Wine with me! :p |

Oh, and Court... Not to be an ass, but I haven't seen a SINGLE XB9R for purchase NOW. It has some in the future ship date that has changed several times already. Hopefully on April 27th it really will be available. |

Court: I’m eligible for retirement on January 1st 2003 and will be looking for something interesting to do (work-wise) after that point in time. Cheers, -JW:>) |

This was in the "Windy City BRAG" section and I thought the regulars in this group would/should like to participate. ------------------------------------------------- HAS ANYONE ELSE READ THIS CRAP!!!!!!!!! The official press release follows: Harley-Davidson announced today the Company has chosen to end its factory VR1000 Superbike racing program and retire from the American Motorcycle Association (AMA) Superbike series after the final round of the 2001 season at Virginia International Raceway on September 28-30... "Our development team took a hard look at rebuilding the program this year, and what it would take to bring the VR 1000 to a competitive level and replace it with a new design. Harley-Davidson has determined the resources required to do that are simply too costly to pursue given our other business priorities," said Baker. Well, Maybe they will finally do the right thing and Create a Buell motorcycle to race in its place!!!!! Quite honestly, I think Eric Buell should demand it!!! Picotte is still under contract for another 2 years with HD. Can you imagine the possibilities with Pascal on an Eric Buell creation??????? Just found this on motorcycle online. please sign this and let HD know how all the Buelligans really feel!!! http://www.petitiononline.com/hdb/petition.html All people who want to see an American AMA Superbike win, sign this! thanks |

Nope, the XB9R ship date was NEVER changed publicly. You are taking rumor and heresay as factory statements. The factory never proclaimed a release date other than the current April date. The XB9R is available for demo rides. It has been tested. Anony: You seem to like to argue almost as much as I do. Just come clean like me and admit the truth... Repeat after me... "I am an ass." Feels good don't it? |

Anonymous "2) I wish Buell would TELL us what is coming, rather than letting us die in suspense like this." Have you ever played high stakes poker? I think not. Perhaps if you would tell them your name they would spill the beans. ;-)Greg |

Greg, In my business I use "The Art of War." You'ns go ahead and play poker. I'll treat business like what it is - out and out no holds barred kill or be killed face to face nuclear holocaust war. I gots to ride my S2 soon, else I'm really not going to be any fun 'til later this summer. Arvel |

Neil, Cheap way to go SCCA Racing. Go SOLO or SOLOII. Well, cheaper than pure formula racing. I did SOLO once long ago. Decent time for a first timer. Now why'd you have to bring up those old supressed memories. Guess were both going down the slope and its covered with synthetic oil. Arvel |
