I was reading the owner's manual and it said to use Harley-Davidson oil(what is HD oil?) or oil for Diesel machines? What the heck is that? I've never heard of diesel engine oil. The dealer never mentioned any of this. Is this true because I just toped off my oil on Saturday and I used Union 76 20w50 as I remember being told by the dealer that any 20W50 would do. Help someone. I hope I haven't ruined my engine. |

up in the upper right corner is a tab called "search" click on it, then in keyword area type in "oil" limit the search to the XBoard. ALL of your oil questions will then be answered. But short answer, no your engine will not be hurt. In your manual lists the API rating (even shows the API symbol) as long as that matches your fine. |

Many quality oils will have a API rating for Diesel right after the auto rating, ie SL/CF The CF is the diesel rating. If I recall correctly, HD oil does not have any API ratings on it althought that might not be true for their new Syn product. |
